This means NEVER buy them at a store like Best Buy. The most important thing to know is to buy a 1.3v cable, NOT 1.2v. Also, get the shortest cable you need because the quality of the picture and sound start to degrade the longer the cable is. I have tried a 100 dollar cable and compared to my 10 dollar cable, and the difference is slightly noticeable. The difference is gold plated tips for good connection since gold is a much finer metal than the metal in the other cables the quality barely differs, so i would go with the 10 dollar cable.
