I have a 37″ Westinghouse tv, a Phillips dvd player, and Dish Network VIP612 HD DVR. I currently have the television and the satellite receiver connected with the HDMI cable. Is there a way I can have them all connected via HDMI? Please note, there is only one HDMI receiver on each unit.

Ok so i was on the futureshop website looking up hdmi cords, and theirs like 3 different cords. Ones 30 dollards, one 50, and ones like 80. Is their really a difference or are they just priced differently because of the different companies?

I connected a hdmi cable on the laptop computer and it came up with a new hardware found. I clicked the second option of a split showing and now my tv is only showing the mouse pointer wondering around with the windows background but not the icons or anything else on the computer. How do I fix this?

I herd there are gold plated ones that are expensive. But the other day I went to the electronics store and saw a gold plated HDMI cable for $20. Other HDMI cables I see for $1000+. The one for $20 does full 1080p, what do more expensive ones do? better sound quality?
