		<description>Some DVRs can be hacked so you can mount their hard drive on your computer...but this depends on the DVR.  It also voids their warranty, and often requires some pretty technical know-how on your part.

If you aren't comfortable with all that, the easiest way to do this is buy a DVD recorder.  Connect the DVR to the INPUTS on the DVD recorder.  (Most DVRs have multiple outputs, so don't even have to rewire anything.)

Now, anything you play on the DVR will also be sent to the DVR.  Pop in a blank DVD, hit record and now you have your TV program on the DVD.  Finalize the DVD(important!)  Now this DVD will play on any DVD player - including the one in your PC where your video editting tools exist.</description>

		<description>I read about a device at TechLore called the Neuros OSD, which seemed to be a good option for getting content from DVRs and other stuff to a PC.
