if your tv supports 1080p, 720p and 1080i then just tick those boxes. i recomend using the auto option.

Just do auto. The PS3 games will automatically adjust to the tv’s or game’s highest resolution. eg. I am on the PS3 XMB and it is running at 1080p then I play assassins creed and it automatically switches to 720p because that’s the max resolution. Some games like COD4 are capable of 1080p but automatically switches to 720p probably because it plays better.

Video set-up on the PS3 option - then go through the settings. If you do it custom, you can tick it and try it one box at a time. If it works, go back and tick the next one - keep going till either you get to 1080p and it works, or you select something and it doesn’t display, in which case go back, and drop a level. Mine inputs at 1080i but displays at 720p (the TV processor is a 1080i one, so it gets slightly better graphics on it)
