about as long as it took for mobile phones to be called cell phones or casettes to be called tapes or until it gets a really catchy new name given to it by commercial industries/ trend setters

I was at the Conumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week. In walking through there, it was clear that as far as the industry is concerned HDTV is the norm. There wasn’t one display that I saw that wasn’t HDTV.
