How can I get better audio from my new Olevia 232T LCD HDTV?

hdtv advice
rrman_29170 asked:

I’m not interested in a big elaborate home theater system, just some way to improve the crummy sound it now has. Can I just buy better speakers, or do I need an amplifier or receiver or just what? I just want better sound from my TV. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  1. John Q. Nixon Says:

Use an external set of speakers, that TV has stereo RCA outs, so any stereo speakers with RCA inputs (or PC speakers with a 3.5 mm stereo jack, just use a converter to RCA stereo for that) will work. Generally, internal speakers are the weak link in any TV, so using external speakers is pretty much always a good idea.
