Most HDTVs have VGA and HDMI inputs, and those can be used to hook computers up easily. VGA is an analog video input, and is on pretty much every computer ever created, and that will most likely be how you’ll hook your computers up. If your computer has a DVI output, then you’ll want to use a DVI->HDMI cable to hook up to your TV for an all-digital connection between your computer and TV. Some computers even now have HDMI outputs, but unless you bought yours very recently, then it is unlikely that it will have one.
No matter how you hook it up, you should have no problem using your HDTV as a monitor. Just remember to check your user manual for specifics and remember that if you have a 720p TV, to set your resolution to 1360×768 for the best picture. Enjoy!
